After serving in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, Ursula D. Warner retired in 2020 and embarked on a new journey of self-discovery and healing. She realized that addressing the mental health challenges from combat-related deployments was essential and, during this time, sought a fresh purpose. Ursula found solace in her love for Southern cooking, particularly the flavors of her Southwest Louisiana roots, which sparked the idea of creating A Little Taste of Home. Her passion for sharing these comforting and soulful meals, along with her desire for a flexible, fulfilling career, led her to form this business and spread Southern hospitality through her food.
Ursula's journey from military service to the kitchen is deeply personal, grounded in the belief that food connects people and brings comfort. With a deep love for traditional dishes like gumbo, she has made it her mission to introduce others to the rich flavors and heritage of Louisiana. For Ursula, each dish is not just a meal but a way to foster community and share her passion for Southern cuisine. Through A Little Taste of Home, she offers more than just food—she offers a chance to experience the warmth and togetherness that comes with a home-cooked meal.
